Textures and Wallpapers

Faux furs, fiber art, velvets you name it – are all considered in the wallpaper category. In our homes, offices, and interior spaces the walls add personality to the space. The best part is you can choose any texture and colors that would be to your liking. From a measurable setting to a minimalistic one, you can transform the way your room looks by paying attention to the wallcoverings. Once you get the walls right, selecting the rest of the design elements for your space becomes a breeze for your home interiors. Now comes a very important question. Should you choose texture paints or wallpaper for your walls in your homes? Each wallcovering and paints have their own appeal, making the selections quite the mystery. Textured paints are available in different forms like distemper, emulsion, or enamel paints. They are oil based or water based. Those paints can be applied to the walls as solid colors and the different techniques can create textures on the walls for a more dramatic appearance.

Texture Wallpapers come in large rolls that are pasted on the walls using a very strong adhesive. Different prints, patterns, and textures are available to suit your space. Textures and wallpapers share some similarities where making decisions can be difficult. Some issues you may run into are, you have unlimited ranges of color, patterns and textures can be created on the walls where there are many durable options with texture paints, and some texture paints along with wallpapers require some preparation in time before they are applied. It is always best to research the wallpaper or paint before you purchase and apply to your walls. There are many thoughts to keep in mind when selecting your wallpaper or paint choices for your interior spaces. Choose customizable selections or ones with bold prints for the walls you want to stand out. That choice can sober down with subtle texture paints to make the walls unique. The general design rule is if you have patterned fabric furniture and rugs, the walls should have plain wallpaper or paint and if you have plain fabric with no patterns on your furniture, then the walls can have texture and pattern paints.

Texture wallpaper and paints are the key source for the material and finishes in any design phase of the project. Select wisely, and be confident for what you choose in your interior space. At the end of the day, you will be the one viewing the walls and wallcoverings throughout the day.
